Gyris is an alternate history of the Earth we’ve forgotten.
Three species of human co-exist in a world of mycelial magic and megafauna.
Our saga is one of good vs evil, father and son, transcending worlds and time.

Gaming

We want to bring the beautiful world of Gyris to life, and we chose Gaming as the first medium to do so. This way we can be developing high-quality 3D assets for the game and have them at hand for once the series amd movies are ready to be made. Furthermore, gaming is a beautiful way to experience and interact with a creative behemoth like Gyris. Full of races, creatures and stories to be told.

Our main release is planned to be a new type of social MMORPG experience. A way for which, will be paved by releasing multiple AAA quality Minigames. This gives us ability to engage with our community and show development progress, while we slowly build all the 3D assets and game mechanics in Unreal Engine 5, as the main release - MMORPG will take great amounts of resources and time.

First Minigame

Currently playable for our community - Alpha release of our Ogg Racing Minigame. Load your rider and a mount character NFTs and Compete against other players in a Mario kart style of race: attacks allowed, drift and jump to outmaneuver, dodge obstacles and projectiles, collect boosts and perform special attacks to outrun others. Competitive mode and wagering coming soon.

Game map of Buralands

Buralands is the home to one of our 4 playable races - The Bura. It alone is bigger than 2500 km² and phase 1 will accommodate more than 200 villages and 11,000 plots of land.

Inspired by North Western Australia and Papua New Guinean geography we find dense forest, high mountains, deep cuts and valleys. Thunderous rivers but also endless branches of creek forks cutting lines in the mountainside. Families carve paths into the earthen clay and form walkways from their hut to the waterways to wash and bath and fish.

Season 1: The Sound of Trees Standing

As the gluttonous Minjierri slaughter the creatures of Gyris, a illage’s warriors rush to their aid. In their absence a reluctant hero must rise and take a perilous quest in search of his fated ‘Tua’, a weapon divined by the gods themselves. But the darkness of battle pales to the evil of the Ochichurri who feast on flesh in the shadows. If Aggy is to become the future of his people, he must learn; that no one alone can fight the dark.

Follow Aggy, Saras, Djalu and the inhabitants of Gyris in a 5 season saga, spanning 3 generations.

Holders are given the chance to add a custom name and/or a backstory to their Bura's metadata. In addition, one reroll per Bura will be given for a chance to improve the non-visual attributes such as Strength, Intelligence, Dexterity etc.

Campaign EP2 - LIVE

Holders of all 3 released collections ( Bura, Ogg , Mara ) are able to submit a custom Name and Backstory to their characters. At the end of the Campaign all of the submissions will be gathered and included into the actual metadata of the character NFTs. The campaign is expected to be live for around a month.

Companion Animalia Drop 2

Moagi will be the Companion Animalia to the Mara. They are a largely bipedal animal resembling a monkey. The Moagi are able to use simple tools, adept at climbing trees,spying and thieving.

Mara holders will get the Moagi, the Mara companion animal, at a discounted price when it's released.

Artist (Chris Harkin)

A motion designer, FX artist, photographer and musician, inspired and fascinated by elements of the natural world, our perception of reality, the nature of consciousness, and the universe. Friends with Co-creator Muff (Adam) since high school, collaborating on music videos, music, art and now NFTs. Not only is he a genuine creative prodigy but a legendary human.

Creator (Adam Everill)

A father of two, social entrepreneur and creative he wrote the beginnings of Gyris in Easter 2020. At age 15, Adam worked on his first film crew and had dreams of being a Writer/Director. Instead, he cofounded Equal Playing Field raising over $10,000,000 for the prevention of violence against women and the protection of children in Papua New Guinea and Australia. Adam is all in in crypto and is the creator of the world first song nft voicing a Sewer Rats Social Club trio 'The Feastie Boys' in 'Praise Cheezus' and later the 'Rumble Kong Killers' with 'I AM KONG'. Many years in crypto, even more in building big things.

Tristan is a Motion Designer, FX Artist, illustrator and Photographer. With over 10 years of experience in the motion design space he has worked with a swath of international clientele. An important figure in the development of Chris Harkin's work Tristan joins the Studio Gyris Roster to work across creature and environment design.

Gaming CTO (Andy Clayton)

Andy cut his chops as an automation engineer in the manufacturing sector before designing software for one of the world’s largest machinery manufacturers. He has spent the last year managing a team of developers creating virtual reality simulations for safety training in hazardous industries. Proficient in Unity he is now leading the team's move into Unreal Engine 5. A father of three, he has been friends with the founding duo of Chris and Adam since high school, where legend has it the three came together to form the world’s greatest cover band for one night only.

Communications (Sean Rung)

Known as Diggy in NFT circles is a lover of all things web3. Adam found Diggy in his role as a MonkeDAO Board Member and they quickly found a synergy. Diggy heads up the Gyris Marketing and Comms. As a communications, media and marketing professional who previously worked in the not for profit world, his ethos has always been around providing people with the information they need to empower indivituals, families and communities. He's a strong advocate for empowering people to build the community they want to see and his experiences with MonkeDAO have shown him that community can often be the strongest utility.

Blockchain (Saba Udzilauri)

Obsessed with math & physics and logic, Saba grew up in front of a computer screen. He is a Blockchain developer, experienced in building on Ethereum and Solana, complimented with a Cyber Security background. Deeply passionate about philosophy and learning about how everything around us works, from the smallest detail, to its place in a biggest picture. Discarding nihilism, he is purpose-driven and full of wonder and optimism. A perfect fit for Gyris.
